Mega Man SNES collection

I have finally completed my Mega Man collection for SNES - soccer. It took me a while to do because I was trying to find good deals on X2 & X3. We all how know expensive these game are and they just keep going up

Do u think your Elite

Like myself, a lot of us think we're Elite at a certain game or games. I thought this about my high score on Gradius. Then I found TwinGalaxies.com ! All of a sudden, my 194,200, didn't seem so Elite anymore :( The guy that holds the world record, has 8,000,000 ? Mind blowing, isn't it ? I had to dust off my game genie and see this for myself !
When I finished the game, I had 2.5 million. So, this means the guy beat the game four times in a row ? When I started playing the game a second time ,I quickly figured out that it gets harder every time and I didn't waste my time trying to get the 8 million ! Gradius 3 8.8

I know there is going to be some people, who disagree with me that I rated this better than Gradius & Life Force. The only thing that I didn't like about Gradius 3, was the feel. Vic Viper doesn't fly as smooth as he once did ! With that being said, this is the only Gradius, in the series, to have a pseudo-3D level ! Some more big additions were, edit mode and the ability to change the difficulty setting.

Big Day At The Flea Markets

Before we started the day, we thought we had three Flea Markets in our city.
When we woke up this morning, we quickly found out, we only had two :(
So, we headed to the largest one first.
I was a bit scared that I wasn't gonna
Find anything, because I have never
Done any game shopping at a Flea Market before. I'm not gonna lie, I didn't
think I was gonna find any thing :( As soon as we stepped in the place, the first thing I see is a Video Game booth.
I head on over, for further inspection and find out they are asking more fore games, than the Retro Game Shops.
It took a lot for me to walk away from this boot but I knew I could always come back. We started walking around the market and within two minutes, we found two more booths but way larger :) Prices at the first booth were similar
to the earlier booth we checked out, maybe a bit better. Tons of stuff and rare games but way too expensive.
We Proceed to move on to the next booth and the first thing I notice, is how cheap his prices are :) The game I always look for to base prices on is Duck Tales 2 & Chip n Dale 2. He had both for $65 each. The cheapest I have seen them in stores is for $80 each. As I start to realize how cheap his prices
are, I wonder if my heckling skills are up for the challenge ? The man who ran the booth, came on over and I could tell he was a super nice dude.
We got talking and I told him that I'm after the 670. The man proceeds to tell me he's got the 670 three times ? Two

Ripping through games seeing some really good stuff, when Tyler comes charging over, pretty much red in the face :) And says that he found Tengen
Tetris. My mind started racing, thinking about how cheap I might be able to score this for. I thought with his really good prices, that he would want around $30. Pull out the game from the stack and see a $20 tag on it :) A game that I had been seeing everywhere, for a crazy price was Dragon Warrior. All the
Booths were asking $20. I got it and Rad Racer and Utopia SNES for $20.
Then I got Mega Man 5, which he had market for $40 for $25. Both Tengen Tetris and Mega Man 5 were $40 ? WTF :) I also picked up Life Force, Pinball and Alpha Mission for $20. I also grabbed two NES MAX controllers,
which I had never seen before ? He also gave me 15 NES & 15 SNES dust
protectors. I see them things go for at least $1 each on E Bay. I guess for $75
I did pretty good :)

SimCity SNES 8.5

This game is great and I'm a huge fan of the SimCity series. I play SimCity 4 on PC and SimCity Deluxe on iPhone.
It is so nice to be playing a simple SimCity ! No Schools, Colleges and Libraries. There is too many elements that aren't in the first SimCity to name.
A lot of the time, The older, More simple SimCity I'm much more fun and beatable. The SimCity series is deff

Retro Video Game Shopping

We are gonna spend a good chunk of the day tomorrow hunting for games. There is upwards of 10 Retro Video Game shops in our city. We also hit a few other super secret game Spots :)
I'm gonna get two SNES games. Sim City & ? And Tyler is gonna get Arobiz.
Sim City is $20 and Arobiz is $20 or $30. I am also gonna get a couple of $20 NES games. Maybe Contra or Punch Out or Ghost 'N Goblins ?

Super Mario Brothers NES 8.1

This is where it all started for Mario. It was super fun playing through and remembering where all the 1up's were and all the warp's :) Some how, Some
Way, Tyler remembered the glitch, Where you jump backwards through a pipe and go to -1 World. I had played the whole way through to the 8th world and was stuck. We started trying to finish it today and were having no luck.
I was starting to think That u had to have fire balls to beat it but Tyler proved me wrong. I'm pretty sure what Tyler did was a 1 in a million. It's hard to explain what he did but he killed it as lil Mario and the all she wrote !

Tetris Effect

The Tetris effect (also known as Tetris Syndrome) occurs when people devote sufficient time and attention to an activity that it begins to overshadow their thoughts, mental images, and dreams. It is named after the video game Tetris.

SNES Multi Taps

The Super Nintendo Entertainment System had several multitaps, the first one being Hudson Soft's Super Multitap which was released in 1993 and featured four controller ports. With one of these devices plugged into the Super Nintendo's controller port #2, the Super Multitap added multiplayer support for up to five players. It came bundled with the game Super Bomberman or could be purchased separately. Hudson Soft's Super Multitap 2 was released in the shape of Bomberman's face. It also featured four controller ports. Another version of the multitap was the Naki Tribal Tap which featured five controller ports. However, it has been shown that the fifth port on these units is not actually functional.If two multitaps were used simultaneously, one in each of the Super Nintendo's controller ports, up to eight controllers could theoretically be used. However, no commercially released games for the Super Nintendo ever offered multiplayer compatibility beyond five players, although at least one homebrew game has been made which offers 8-player gameplay.

SNES Game Genie

I had a Game Genie for my NES but had no idea there was one for SNES ?The SNES and Game Boy models also had a button or switch to turn the codes off and on while playing in case of situations where the codes may impair the game.

The Miracle Piano Teaching System

The Miracle Piano Teaching System is a MIDI keyboard/teaching tool created in 1990 by The Software Toolworks for the NES and SNES, Apple Macintosh, Amiga, Sega Genesis and PC. It consisted of a keyboard, connecting cables, power supply, soft foot pedals, and software either on 3.5" floppies or a standard, licensed NES/SNES/Genesis cartridge. When connected to the console or computer, a user followed the on-screen notes. Its marketed value was as a tool to teach kids and to play the piano. It provided hundreds of lessons, and was advertised as the perfect adjunct to formal lessons. Due to its high price ($500) and low sales, the keyboard with all of the original cables together are a rare find. Aside from being released in the United States, the Miracle Keyboard was also released in multiple regions within Europe. The European versions are, however, much harder to find. Some of the NES Miracle keyboards were also later converted for PC use - the Nintendo Seal of Quality on these boards was covered up with a piece of plastic.

Students can learn to play classic piano, rock piano or show tunes. Fun exercises making learning the piano seem less like a chore and more like playing a video game. Instead of using the traditional NES controller, the piano becomes the controller as players hits targets in order to perfect their music skills.

There are two games that students can play to help teach rhyming. The first is called Robo Man where you have to press the correct keys at the right time to create a bridge. If you miss, Robo Man falls and you lose. The second game is a duck shooting game. You have to press the correct keys to shoot the ducks.

The Miracle Piano did not ever generate sounds from the NES hardware; all NES MIDI information was converted into audio by the instrument's built-in ROM and played through the instrument's stereo speakers, allowing the keyboard to be used independently of the console.

The Konami Justifier

I remember this game in the arcade but never knew it came out for any console, let alone had its own gun ? I found this on the net and it blew my mind ! The Konami Justifier was a light gun used in numerous video arcade and home console games developed and/or published by Konami and Sega. Konami manufactured variations of the gun for the Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Super Nintendo, and PlayStation consoles. The gun was similar in appearance to a Colt Python. During the early 1990s, it was controversial in that it was realistic and used in equally realistic, violent video games. It was used as an example in the United States of America (US) congressional hearings of 1992 to 1993. The Sega and Nintendo versions include a blue revolver looking gun that connects to the console and a rare pink Justifier of similar design that plugs into either blue gun rather than into the console.

NHL 94 SNES 9.0

This is by far the best of the series for the SNES ! Tyler and I have been replaying this on his SNES for about two years and the battles have been EPIC. This was such a great era for hockey and Sooo many great players and teams.This deff a top pick for me and I won't be rating or reviewing any other games in the series ! There is one thing I can say about NHL 93, There is Fighting ! Srry Hockey Mom's :)

Tetris NES 7.8

One thing I am quickly learning, NES games are hard as !!! Tetris is no exception. I play Tetris on my IPhone and crush it. Not on NES ! Great game and the best puzzle game series for myself. There is some fierce competition going on in this house. I had the record at 57000 and Tyler straight smashed that with 91000 :(
We are as competitive at as we are at NHL 94. I'm pretty sure this will be my
Highest rated puzzle game for NES !
Tetris is also a 1 player game only.

Burger Time NES 7.3

It was pretty much as I remembered it :) This is one of those games that my Mom and I played the hell out of ! On commodore 64 and NES.I have seen this game remade a few times and I have never liked any, accept the first. This game is deff one of my oldest NES memories. Wow, this is a really hard game ! According to Twin Galaxies, the record high score on BurgerTime is 11,512,500 points, set by Bryan L. Wagner in 2008.I got a long way to go, With my 20000 :(
As one of the first NES games, It had some tough competition. With the likes of the Donkey Kong's, Dig Dug, Ice Climber, Ghost 'n Goblins and Arkanoid.

Super Mario All Stars/Super Mario World Combo SNES 9.0

I had never played this game :( The last time I had played Mario 1 2 3 was on NES. We have only played a little way through Mario 1 and they added a lot of stuff to the game. It's Mario 1 2 3 on steroids ! We are on to part 2 and IGN does not rate this as high as part 1 & 3. After getting through a few levels, it all started coming back to me. Flying across levels with the Princess. All the bright colors and carpet riding. This game is so fun. We will have to come back and beat it with someone other than the Princess. Another top 10 for me ! I'm Sooo glad they made this ! This is such a good way to keep the old Mario game alive ! I couldn't rate this any higher, Since these are just remade Mario's from NES. I also will
Review/Rate Mario world separate.
